The early bird catches the flight, literally, departure time 6:25am is not for everyone, but it ensures you will sleep on to plane because you are so exhausted. We booked with EasyJet, the flights were about £100 return, amazing.
After arrival in Marrakesh, our driver, organised by the first accommodation we would stay at, picked us up. We took cash out directly at the airport. Apparently you can’t exchange British Pounds do Moroccan Dirham in advance, as it is a “restricted language”.
It took as 30 minutes and a rather interesting path to reach our, get away from the city madness, lovely quiet residence for our first 2 nights – Ecolodge Quaryati.
What a special place, so quiet and peaceful, away from Marrakesh city, with pets such as peacocks and a cow, that belong to the premises.
We had booked a special package via Groupon, with a Welcome Pack (aka mint tea and biscuit), breakfast and Hamam, for a decent price.
We had dinner in the hotel as well, which was very yummy, thumbs up!
So the arrival day was nothing but relaxation at the pool, a rather competitive game a table tennis, eat good food and realise – YES, we are on holiday now.
